Philippines Girls Have Strong Family And Social Values

By Anna Santos

Philippines girls, also called Filipinas, are generally very well educated. To graduate from college is of great importance to them. From a very young age, they are encouraged to do well at school. Proof of this dedication to academic achievement is evident by the fact that there are more females enrolled at colleges than males.

This is the only Far East nation where Christianity is the mainstream religion. More than 80 percent of the people are Roman Catholic. Strong religious doctrines are taught to children and they are taken to church when they are very young. It is compulsory for Filipinas to be married in a Christian church.

Despite what many believe, Philippine women are not submissive. Perhaps the fact that they are polite and gently spoken makes people think otherwise. Most Filipinas are non-confrontational, understanding, and patient. They have been taught to behave in a lady-like fashion at all times.

Another myth is that women are submissive to their husbands. As already mentioned, many Filipinas have university or college degrees and high-powered jobs. In addition, they are not afraid to earn more money than men. Therefore, they are very unlikely to make the needs of husbands their only priority. What is true, however, is that they do make excellent wives because they are faithful, warm, and loyal.

There are no divorce laws in the Philippines so the sanctity of marriage is held in high regard. With divorce being unacceptable, a wife will give top priority to the stability of her marriage and family. Women are quite willing to sacrifice their careers for this sake.

Because they are raised to be honest and faithful, Filipino wives stand by their husbands during the hardest of times. However, if a woman is living in an abusive marriage, she will certainly take the necessary steps to have the marriage annulled. But, this is definitely a last resort.

Philippines girls are wonderful mothers and fastidious home-keepers. They are devoted to raising their children in the same manner that they were brought up. Their homes have a loving and warm atmosphere and are clean and tidy. A lot of Filipinas get married to older men because they are financially stable, more mature, and less likely to be unfaithful. In this country, 80 percent of men are one year older than their spouses, 40 percent are more than 10 years older, and 15 percent are more than 20 years older.
